Randy Lee Lapo Sr., aged 78, passed away on November 17, 2024, in Port Angeles, WA. Born on June 16, 1946, Randy was known for his fun-loving spirit, often lighting up any room with his jokes. He was a deeply caring and loving individual, cherished by many.

Randy proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War, a period that marked a significant chapter in his life. After his military service, he dedicated many years as a projects manager for the Washington County, Oregon Department of Transportation, where his meticulousness and leadership were highly valued.

He was a graduate of Henley High School and furthered his education at Oregon Institute of Technology, laying a strong foundation for his successful career.

Randy’s personal life was filled with joy from his hobbies, which included watching football games and spending quality time with his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by his children, Randy L. Lapo Jr, Angie Gullet, Randy L. Lapo III, Abbey Gullet, Ian Z. Lapo, Mia S. Lapo, and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Charlotte Lapo. Randy’s life will be honored at a service scheduled for 12:30 pm on December 2, 2024, at Tahoma National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause Randy held dear, in his memory.
