Final Salute

Allan C. Hultgren, 78, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024, in the RI Hospital Providence, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Claudia M. (Mendes) Hultgren, they have been married for the past 52 years.

Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Carl and Louise (Seidel) Hultgren. Allan resided in Slatersville for the past 4 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

He was a US Navy Corpsman veteran serving a tour in Vietnam.

Allan and his wife were the proud owners of Heidi’s Dollhouse Center in Cumberland, a beloved business they operated together for several years. Together, they built their family home in Cumberland, a place that became the heart of their business and a haven for cherished family memories. Allan had a profound passion for genealogy, devoting countless hours to researching and preserving the history of his family and friends. His dedication to connecting generations and celebrating shared roots was a treasured gift to all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters Heidi Delisle and  Kristen Bradshaw and sons-in-law Peter Delisle and Robert Bradshaw, as well as his sister, Elaine Bardsley of Pawtucket.

Above all, Allan’s greatest joy was being “Papa” to his four grandchildren, Jo and Julia Delisle, Adeline and Savannah Bradshaw, with whom he spent countless hours creating precious memories and bringing laughter and joy into their lives.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Allan’s Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 4 PM to 7 PM and continuing on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. A Prayer Service will be held at 11 AM.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
