Final Salute

lenn Fairchild, 82, of Milton, Florida, passed away on April 2, 2026 in Pensacola, FL.

Glenn Fairchild was born in Clay Co. Oneida, Kentucky to Joseph B. Fairchild and Pauline Jones on March 3, 1944. He went to high school in Long Beach, California. He worked as a Technician for Department of State, was a Plumber, and served 20 years in the Navy as a Seabee, plus countless side jobs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the movies. He also enjoyed playing pool, darts, and mahjong. He loved his family very much.

Glenn Fairchild is survived by his only child, a daughter, Mari Glenda Elizabeth “Lizzy” Fairchild of Milton, FL. His granddaughter, Lana Camille Roe and sister, Mary Ashmead of Reno, NV. He is preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Pauline Jones and Joseph B. Fairchild, his brother Charles Fairchild, and his niece Cindy Harris.

Final Words:

Glenn Fairchild was a man who embraced life fully-a world traveler with an easygoing spirit, a sharp wit, and a sense of humor that could brighten any room. He found joy in the simple things, whether it was watching a good movie or spending time with the people he loved most.

A proud Vietnam War veteran, Glenn served his country with honor and courage for 20 years in the United States military, including time spent fighting in the Vietnam War. His dedication, strength, and sense of duty were evident not only in his service, but in the way he lived his life every day.

His love for his family was unwavering, and there was little he wouldn’t do for them. He shared unforgettable adventures traveling the world with his daughter, who will forever be grateful to have had not only an incredible father, but a true hero.

Though Glenn is no longer with us, his laughter, his stories, and his love will remain in our hearts always. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched so deeply. Glenn Fairchild
