Description

Salary: $74,268.00 - $90,252.00 Annually

The City of Tukwila is seeking two (2) Park Maintenance Specialists. These positions will work with the Lead Maintenance Specialist and fellow crew members to implement the maintenance management plans to meet the desired service levels of the Tukwila Parks, Trails, and Open Space system. The Parks Maintenance Specialist performs skilled maintenance activities related to the ground maintenance of City parks and/or facilities; City landscape and operating equipment which does not require a commercial driver's license.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • Two years of related maintenance experience in area of assignment as described on this posting
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Valid State of Washington Driver's License
  • First Aid and CPR certification; AND
  • Washington State Department of Agriculture Pesticide Applicator's License must be obtain in six (6) months from hire date.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn a varied skill set related to facility, landscaping, and park maintenance
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License, and a safe driving record; AND
  • Ability to attend work on a regular, predictable basis as scheduled.
