Ronald Jordan Sullivan, 68, of Kingsport, gained his heavenly wings on June 16, 2026 while surrounded by his loving family and friends. Ron was born in Melrose, MA and then spent his childhood traveling the world with his family. Ron graduated from North Salinas High School in Salinas, CA. Following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy, with the Seabees and served for 5 years. Ron’s life in Christ began at Browder’s Chapel with the Browder family. He became a member and served as a Sunday School teacher. Ron was a gifted woodworker.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Rusti Sullivan.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Sullivan; children, Patrick Sullivan (Brittany), Chris Helton (Wendy), Leslie Williams (Scott); nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Terri Sullivan; brother, Thomas Sullivan (Lily); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and his church family that he loved very much.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Pastor Mike Gillam officiating, followed by a few words from Chris Helton, and military honors by The American Legion Posts 3/265.
