Mr. David Allen Brezina

David Allen Brezina passed away on August 3, 2026, in Westlake, Ohio. He was born to the late Gilbert and Madelyn (nee Baker) Brezina in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up and raised his family in Westpark, Ohio. Dave attended St Ignatius High School and graduated in 1961. He also attended The University of Dayton. Dave enlisted in the Navy, was part of the SeaBees and served during the Vietnam War. Afterward, he worked as a maintenance electrician for General Motors and retired after 28 years of dedicated service.

Dave was a loyal member of Local 38 I.B.E.W. since 1964. He achieved a black belt in Taekwondo. Dave had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and growing plants. He had a stand at the end of his driveway to sell plants and flowers that he and his wife had raised themselves. He and his late wife “Pen” traveled regularly to Cape Coral, Florida and to Pen’s home country, Thailand. His most important priority was his family. He loved attending all his grandchildren’s events. He was a devout Catholic and often attended mass every day at either St. Stephens for the traditional Latin mass or the Immaculate Conception in Cleveland.

Dave is survived by his daughters, Anne Kemer (Steven) and Julie Brezina; granddaughters Mackenzie Kemer (Fiancé J.D. Webb) and Kaitlyn Kemer; nieces and nephew Dawn Brezina, David Brian Brezina and Jacqueline Strunk.

He was preceded in death by his wife of thirty-nine years Kamnoi “Pen” Brezina; his parents Gilbert and Madlyn Brezina; and his siblings Marilyn Nadal and John “Jack” Brezina (Mary Lou).

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44011. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 33601 Detroit Rd., Avon, OH 44011.
