Perimeter Security Partners is looking for a motivated Installation Specialist with the construction skills necessary to install and repair security fencing, active vehicle barriers, personnel gates, security bollards, and passive vehicle barrier equipment throughout the United States. Work is performed outdoors in support of governmental, military, industrial, and commercial clients. This role may also assist other crew members with the installation and repair of all types of access control point (ACP) equipment throughout the United States.
The Installation Specialist will perform a wide variety of construction tasks, demonstrating the ability to operate powered equipment; form, place, and finish concrete; bend and tie rebar for concrete foundations; install security fencing and gates; install and assemble automated and static vehicle barriers; demolish existing equipment; excavate and prepare subgrade for new equipment installation; and perform other similar tasks within a small team. The Installation Specialist will work under the direction of a Superintendent and will be expected to build proficiency in all assigned tasks with the goal of performing them independently.
Duties:
Demonstrate competence in the safe and effective operation of a variety of powered equipment to include a skid steer; shooting boom forklift; trencher; concrete saw; and mini-excavator with the demonstrated ability to safely operate around utilities and other obstacles. Obtain certification in the operation of this equipment.
Demonstrate competence saw cutting and demolishing existing concrete and / or asphalt paving; earth excavation; setting and bracing barrier and / or fence equipment; placing and finishing concrete; and assembling gates, fences, and barriers.
Move discharge chutes and use shovels and rakes to evenly distribute concrete into forms under the direction of experienced concrete finishers.
Set conduit pathways and stub-up pathways within foundation forms.
Set and remove traffic control devices, erosion control devices, and temporary fence as required.
Execute construction tasks with a variety of common hand tools, to include shovels, picks, screwdrivers, wrenches, saws, drills, and prybars.
Work cooperatively with other Installation Specialists when accomplishing the daily work plan.
Safely drive company vehicles, strictly adhering to traffic laws and keeping the vehicle clean and well-maintained.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and company policy.
Adhere to all published company, client, and project safety standards, to include the use of proper personal protective equipment necessary for each task.
Accurate reporting of all credit card expenses and time sheets in a timely manner.
Minimum three years of experience as a construction tradesperson is required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug test to permit access to military installations and similar controlled areas.
Must have experience in operating powered equipment.
Experience installing a variety of physical security equipment, fencing, and / or gates is preferred.
Experience placing and finishing reinforced concrete is required.
Must have the ability to obtain OSHA 10 Certification.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds to waist level.
Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and have full use of hands, fingers, and arms.
Must be able to work outdoors for up to 60 hours / week in a variety of weather conditions
85% or more travel, typically for three (3) to four (4) weeks at a time to project sites across the United States.

Hands-on and other training opportunities are available to augment skills and increase proficiency with a wide variety of physical security infrastructure equipment.
