Final Salute

Harold T. Steuernagle, 80, of Delmont, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026. He was born on Sept. 11, 1946, in Pittsburgh, to the late Harold and Catherine (Chisholm) Steuernagle. Harold honorably served two tours in Vietnam as a U.S. Navy Seabee. He was an outstanding mechanic. Harold also spent many years in retail, working at Banks Equipment Company, Stanford Home Center, and later at Walmart, where he eventually retired. He was a loving husband, an outstanding father, and a fun pap-pap. Harold is survived by his beloved spouse of 50 years, Doreen (Catterall) Steuernagle; three sons, Adam (Alexandra) Steuernagle, Scott Steuernagle, and Matthew Steuernagle; and grandchildren, Philip and Barrett Steuernagle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Deborah, and Kevin. Friends and family will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2026, at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381), where a funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026. Burial to follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park.
