Final Salute

Marvin P. Schnell, 81, of Bay View, passed away Wednesday morning, October 14, 2026, at The Willows at Bellevue.

He was born September 9, 1945, in Sandusky, and graduated from Huron High School in 1963. After high school, Marvin joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served four years as a Seabee. Afterward, Marvin became an electrician and joined the Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local No. 129. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca (Reiter) Schnell; son, Terry (Becky Sue) Schnell; daughter, Vicki (Mark) Robinson; grandsons, Timothy and Mitchell Robinson; special sister-in-law, Roxanne Dendinger; brother-in-law, Brian Dendinger; and niece Kellie Dendinger.

Marvin was preceded in death by his father, August Schnell; mother, Elizabeth Ritzenthaler; and brother, Robert Schnell.

Private family services will be at a later date. Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service in Castalia is handling arrangements.
