CAPE GIRARDEAU — Keith Melton Reed, 82, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2026.

He was born Nov. 13, 1943, to Keith V. and Georgia Melton Reed. Keith and Marcia Perry were married Oct. 1, 1966.

He proudly served as a Seabee in the Navy, serving much time at Guantanamo Bay, and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was a lifelong member of the VFW.

Keith is survived by ex-wife and lifelong friend Marcia Hane of Incline Village, Nevada; daughters, Patti (Trent) August of Scott City and Leah Ann (Baldamer) Garza of Ash Fork, Arizona; grandchildren, Nicholas (Tammy) August, Mitchell (Rachel) August, Samantha (Austin) Cain and Alexandra Watson; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emeric and Eleanor.

Services will be private.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
