Final Salute

Clara May (McCllelen) married Orlen Daniels Weaver on June 14, 1914, they moved with their family to Nebraska.

Orlen and Clara left Nebraska to come west in 1923. They had four children, Orlen the oldest was born and died in Wisconsin, Aashel Henry was born in Nebraska, Hazel Clara was born in Wisconsin and Mabel Rose in Nebraska. They spent from 1923-1926 in Washington, Oregon and northern California. One job was construction at Crater Lake Park. While in Redding, California a fifth child was born, Ida Beryl and passed away in 28 days. In 1926 they came to Klamath County and purchased property on Caldwell Lane, now Hope Street, between S. 6th and Climax. There were no buildings on the property, so they pitched a tent. In 1928 Orval Doyle was born to the family.
