Dennis Michael Randall – a dedicated husband, father of three, grandfather of nine, and friend to many – passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, November 4, 2022, at the age of 80.Denny was born on May 25, 1942, in Zanesville, Ohio, to father Ernest Kenneth Randall and mother Mary Margaret Randall. The eldest of three children, Denny graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Columbus. He enlisted in the Navy and served as a Seabee from 1962-1965, stationed for two years in Okinawa, Japan.In 1965, Denny married his loving wife of 57 years, Sally Ann Randall. He appreciated an adventure big or small, whether exploring the world on annual vacations with Sally, or piling his family of five into the car and setting off to destinations unknown.In 1980, Denny established Randall & O’Reilly, his concrete-paving company, and was a proud small business co-owner until he retired in 2004. He was a talented woodworker, utilizing equal parts engineering, design and craftmanship to beautifully appoint the family home of 45 years on Hedley Place in Gahanna. He loved tools, and every inch of his basement workshop was designed to maximize organization and efficiency.Denny was tremendously proud of his family. He demonstrated his affection by way of unwavering support paired with plenty of teasing. His generosity was felt by many, and his loyalty was absolute when it came to his family and friends. He and Sally found their spiritual community in Sacred Heart Church, where he was an active parishioner for 25 years.Denny was an unforgettable character with his signature handlebar moustache and mischievous grin. In true Irishman style, he never let the truth get in the way of a good story.He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Sally; children Patty (Steve) Williams, Mike (Cristina) Randall, and Peggy (Shane) Stassen; grandchildren Abby(Bubba) Bihn, Amy(Matt) Boland, Patrick Randall, Katherine Randall, Caroline Williams, Nicholas Stassen, Matthew Stassen, and Maggie Randall; and great grandson Jackson Bihn. He is also survived by his siblings Joan Randall and Patrick (Beverly) Randall.Friends may call at EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 403 E. BROAD ST. 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Church, 893 Hamlet Street. Fr. Andrew Kozminski, Celebrant.
