Frank S. Bell, Sr. Obituary
Frank S. Bell Sr., born June 18, 1938, went to be with our Lord last Thursday, June 14, just four days shy of his 74th birthday, after a long battle with COPD and emphysema. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Frank had a love for the ocean, his home in Brooksville, lobstering and his many boats.
After retirement in 2000, Frank and Nancy traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico, and also took cruises through the Caribbean. In 1994, they captained their boat, the Nancy B III, to Nantucket, where Frank was previously stationed as a Navy Seabee.
He served in the Seabees from 1956 to 1962. He was also a 100th anniversary candidate for the Freemasons of the Ashlar Lodge 105, Auburn. He received his 50-year pin in the summer of 2011.
Frank was the self-employed owner of Bell Construction Inc., constructing commercially and residentially. Although he was serious in business, his soft side shown through with his love of family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Beatrice Bell; his eldest son, Frank “Butchie” Bell Jr.; and his in-laws, Clifton and Anne Thompson.
A Memorial service will be held at the West Brooksville Congregational Church, UCC, 1527 Coastal Road, Route 176, Brooksville.
A family committal at the Bell Family Cemetery will follow.
