Steve Arave, 64, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, in Ogden, Utah, of cardiac arrest. He was born August 24, 1959 in Ogden, to Blaine Orval and Elizabeth Qualls Arave. He graduated from Clearfield High School, was a heavy equipment, and was proud to serve with the United States Navy Seabees, retiring as a E-9, Senior Master Chief.
On February 14, 1985, he married Sydne G. Holdeman, at HAFB Utah. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time with family.
Surviving Steve are his wife, Syd; daughter, Whitni; son, Kade (Kira); and grandson, Deklan. Also surviving are his sister, Tammy Brown, (AZ); special aunt Noreen Seymour ( WY) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Blaine and Libby Arave; and his brother. Michael B. Arave.
It was Steve’s wish to be cremated with no viewing and services. His ashes will be scattered at a later date.
