Final Salute

EATON — Donald Earl Jones, 90, of Lake Lakengren, (Eaton) passed away Friday, Sept. 30, 2022, at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born June 22, 1932, in Cincinnati to the late Thomas & Charlotte Jones. Donald was a 38-year U.S. Navy Veteran (Seabee); member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite & Shriner for over 60 years; retired Foreman Supervisor for the City of Cincinnati Public Works of 33 years and later worked for the Cincinnati Metro Housing Authority.He retired to Lake Lakengren with his wife Linda in 1996.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Jones (Gottshall) who passed away in 2019; brother Thomas “Ben” Jones and sister Darlene “Dolly” Kash.

He is survived by son Tim Jones with grandchildren Alexandra and Delaney Jones; daughter Bethany (Danny) Beach and numerous nieces and nephews.
