Florian Arthur Zimecki
Age 73 passed away Sunday November 29, 2020 at his residence in Plainfield, IL, formerly of Berwyn, IL. A Veteran, Florian served US Navy from 1970 to 1973. He retired from the Carpenters Union in 2012 after many years of service, he was also a member of the Lockport V.F.W. Post 5788. Survived by his loving wife Tess Zimecki; daughter Samantha (Samuel) Abbott; sisters Susan (the late Jerry) Centner and Kathleen (Terrance) Campbell; brother Arthur Zimecki, also nieces Katherine Campbell, Jennifer Campbell, and Erin (Russ) Ward. Also preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Mary Zimecki. Funeral Mass Wednesday December 9, 2020, 10:30 am at St. Mary Immaculate Church, 15629 S Route 59, Plainfield, IL 60544, preregistration is required to attend the Mass for covid-19 contact tracing. Interment to follow Mass private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
