Daniel Harvey Dean, age 65, of Toccoa, GA entered his heavenly home on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2025. Dan was born in Johnson City, NY on July 8, 1960 to Robert and Joyce Dean.

He resided in Chenango Forks, NY in his younger years and graduated from Chenango Forks High School in 1978. He moved to Greene, NY in the ‘80s. For many years he worked alongside his father and brothers in the family construction business. He also worked in the U.S. Navy Seabees Reserves (Naval Construction Force) for 10 years. While in the Seabees Reserves he also worked at Sing Sing Correctional Facility and Elmira Correctional Facility as a corrections officer. He moved to Toccoa, GA in the early 2000’s. While in Toccoa he was a member of The Pointe Church in Eastanollee, GA and he worked at Haering Precision Auto in Lavonia, GA.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Manda Dean; his daughters, Virginia (Ginny) Dean of Athens, GA and Kelly (Paul) Goldsborough of Winder, GA; his step-son Sidney Heaton of Toccoa, GA; his grandchildren Brayden of Winder, GA and Gabby of California; his brothers Lon (Susan) Dean of New Windsor, MD, Terry (Lana) Dean of Whitney Point, NY, and Gary (Marsha) Dean of Whitney Point, NY; his step-mom Brooke Dean of Binghamton, NY, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Joyce Dean, an older sister Connie Dean, and his son Michael Dean. What a beautiful reunion it must have been.

A Memorial Service will be held at The Pointe Church, 111 Fieldcrest Drive, Eastanollee, GA on December 19. 2025 at 4:00pm. The service will be live streamed. A meal will be provided afterward at Rock Quarry Church, 2357 Rock Quarry Circle, Toccoa, GA.
