John P. Collins, Jr. Obituary

John P. Collins Jr. was born in Evanston, IL on April 13, 1942. He passed away on April 9, 2018 in Barstow, CA.

John was in the Navy Seabees for 20 years and served his country proudly. When he retired from the Navy he started working for the civil service at Fort Irwin and worked there for 20 years. While serving in the Navy he received numerous medals and award for his service. He was also presented with a 15 year federal service award while working at Fort Irwin.

John is survived by his wife, Mary Collins of 34 years, and his children June, John III and Daniel and his 9 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on April 27, 2018 at 4pm at Mead Mortuary 36930 Irwin Rd., Barstow, CA 92311
