Final Salute

John S. Hillje April 3, 2023 John S. Hillje, of Liverpool, passed away on Monday at his home with his family by his side. John was born in Kingston, NY and lived in Liverpool for the last 30 years. He worked hard and devotedly to provide for his family retiring as a Master Electrician. John will be remembered as a kind and loving man who loved his family dearly. A veteran of the United States Navy Seabee, he served his country proudly. John was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Helen Hillje; and brothers, Edward and Augie Hillje. Survivors include his loving wife of 43 years, Jackeline; three daughters, Jacklyn Hillje (Joseph Brooks), Helen Hillje, and Misty Hillje (Brandon Frost); 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; brothers, Donald and Raymond Hillje; sisters, Cindy, Christina, and Helen; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 8th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at FARONE & SON Inc Funeral Home, 4899 W. Taft Road, Liverpool. Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY.
