Final Salute

On Wednesday, March 10, 2021, Merit Anthony Green (Tony) loving husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son and brother passed away at the age of 58. Tony was born November 1, 1962 to Merit and Gwendolyn Green. He joined the United States Navy in 1988 and served honorably until retirement in 2002. He worked as a government employee as a Production Controller at NCBC Gulfport.
He had a passion for football, especially his beloved Raiders, gardening, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was a caring man that gave everyone and anyone all of his time and attention.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gwendolyn Alice Green. He is survived by his faithful and loving wife, Edna (Terry), his two children, Merit and Mehgan (sp. Andrew), his stepchildren, Jessica (sp. Josh) and Marshall (sp. Heather), his grandchildren, Oliver, Audrey, and Foster, his father, Merit, his siblings, Kim, Terry, Brian, Mitchell, and Kelly, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends of the are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 12:30 pm from the Riemann Family Funeral Home in Long Beach, and the visitation will begin at 11:00 am until service time.
Burial will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30 pm with military honors.
