Final Salute

Dale Whiting, 89, of Jackson passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020.

He was born July 29, 1931 in Owosso, Michigan. He was in the Korean War from 1951 through 1954. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a Boy Scout leader.

He lived in Owosso, Michigan until 1966 when he was transferred to Paris ,Tennessee with Midland Ross Corporation as Plant Manager.

He was the son of the late Cecil Whiting and the late Lillian Marks Whiting. Also preceding him in death were his two older brothers, Cecil Roxford Whiting and Lynn Frederick Whiting.

In his later years he moved to Jackson, Tennessee to be closer to his family.

He was a member of Northside Church in Jackson, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Elizabeth Ann Gerlitz Whiting.

Surviving are daughter Paulette Jean Whiting Brewer (Michael) and son D. Edward Whiting, both of Jackson, Tennessee. He is survived by three granddaughters and eight great grandchildren.

Private family services will be at George Smith and Sons July 28, 2020.
