Final Salute

Irvin Eugene “Gene” Ginder 84 of Rogers passed away Dec. 29, 2022. He was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wis. the son of Irvin C. and Phyllis Ensign Ginder. Gene retired from the Seabee Branch of the Navy having served 27 years and was the Command Master Chief in Gulfport, Miss. at retirement. He was a member of Christ The King Church in Bentonville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He was a skilled builder and stone mason. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He and his wife were married for 62 years. They both loved to travel and had visited 42 countries.
Gene is survived by his wife Myrna Nelson Ginder; four children Christy Shubert, Corrine Florez, Keith Ginder, and Colette Goble; six grandchildren; Lee Ferguson, Anthony Shubert, Bryan Shubert, Sarah Fitzpatrick, Alex Goble, and Matthew Goble, and three great grandchildren; Edan, Karrington, and July Ferguson.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. funeral Service starting at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2022 at Christ The King Church in Bentonville. Interment with full Military Honors will be in the Martin Cemetery at LaRue, Ark. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers
