Charles Branson of Buckingham, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the age of 86. Charles was the beloved husband of the late Theresa Branson.

Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 11, 1940, Charles was the only son of the late William and Lillian Doll Branson. Charles was a good man whose kind and gentle nature would follow him through a lifetime.

Charles was a graduate of Dobbins Technical School in Philadelphia and later attended the University of Delaware. Charles would begin his lifelong career of teaching the next generation, as well as honoring his specialty in helping students with special needs.

Charles met Theresa and following their wedding the two moved to Newark, Delaware. Charles taught, English, history, and mechanics at the Howard High School of Technology.

In his earlier years, Charles served in the United States Navy Seabees where he severed as a Master Chief Petty Officer.

Charles and Theresa spent many years at Rehoboth Beach, where he soaked in the sun. If not at the beach Charles could be found working on one of his many woodworking projects. He would often display them at many craft shows.

When at home Charles was always surrounded by his beloved rescue cats. Although they were commonly weary of visitors, these cats were never far from Charles’s side.

Charles is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Edward Rogowski. The three of them deemed themselves the “Three Musketeers”.

Family and friends are invited to greet Charles family on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro PA 18954 from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by a prayer service beginning at 11:00am. Interment will be held privately.
