Mr. George Peter Fulfree

Date of birth 09/11/1929
Date of passing 01/21/2026

George Peter Fulfree, a longtime resident of Dobbs Ferry passed away on January 21, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1929, in Yonkers, to Teresa (nee Amacucci) and George Fulfree, and was the eldest of four children.

George proudly served his country during the Korean War as a member of the United States Navy Seabees, later continuing his service in the Naval Reserves. A lifelong lover of mathematics, he pursued a career as an electrical engineer with the New York City Transit Authority, where he applied his sharp mind and strong work ethic for many years.

George was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary Ann (nee Galoppo) Fulfree. Together, they shared nearly 50 years of marriage, traveling the world and building a beautiful life grounded in love, partnership, and family.

They were devoted parents to their daughter, Helen Cioffi, whom they adored beyond measure. George’s joy only grew with the birth of his grandson, Michael Cioffi, and he took great pride in being an involved and loving grandfather. Helen and Michael were the center of George’s world, along with Helen’s cherished companion, her dog, Chloe.

George will be remembered as a selfless and caring man—a devoted father and grandfather, a proud veteran, and a dedicated American. His integrity, kindness, and quiet strength leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.
