Frank, Baptized Catholic 72, a resident of San Ildefonso Pueblo/Santa Clara Pueblo, suddenly went home Tuesday January 26, 2021. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Frank was always taking care of someone, he loved his family and friends. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran Navy SeaBee. A mechanic at heart and an all-around handyman for many people he was always willing to help. His joy was to make people laugh, he had a great sense of humor, and he always left you with these words and a smile “Be Happy”! Frank is respected and appreciated as a Tribal Spiritual Leader. His prayers, blessings and words of wisdom always gave strong loving encouragement, guidance and healing. We are all missing his presence. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Brewer (Jenny Wilson), Toni Averitt (Wilburn); Sisters Susie Gilbert, Sherri Renee Sanchez, Brother-in-laws, Marvin Brandstetter, David Roybal, nephew and niece Matthew and Melissa Atencio. Frank is survived by his wife, Carol, children, Mark Thomas of Owyhee, Nevada, Robert Velarde-Brewer of Santa Clara Pueblo, and Frank P. Brewer (Stacy) of San Ildefonso Pueblo. Sisters: Dorothy Roybal of San Ildefonso Pueblo. Patty Romero and husband Wilfred of Nambé, Kathy Brandstetter of Alcalde, Brother-in-law; Greg Gilbert of Winterhaven, CA., Rex Sanchez of Los Lunas; Uncle, Roger Weahkee of San Ildefonso Pueblo, Aunt Be Avila of Kingsland, GA; grandchildren Marquetta Thomas, Monaye and Myisha Velarde, Destiny and Trinity Thomas, Kairi Blanchard-Brewer, Tristen and Aaron Velarde, Daneka Blanchard-Begay, Aiden Blanchard-Sneddy, great-grandchildren Troy Jim, Ambrosia Villegas, Jay T Honyestewa, and Journee Segovia and numerous other relatives and friends. Frank we miss you, rest in peace. January 28, 2021 his body was laid to rest at San Ildefonso Pueblo, Oemakowa Yoesivi Waageh Nakhuudi, hedi namae wege Yoesidi omaegidi. A heartfelt Thank You to all who unselfishly took care of all the details of giving him a loving respectful burial. The Brewer family expresses their sincere gratitude to all who loved him and shared life with him here on Earth. God bless you and may God give you a long healthy life. “Be Happy”!
