Jack Sloan Foster, 89, of Paso Robles, passed away on February 22, 2021. Jack’s gone fishing for one last time. Jack was born November 15, 1931 in Morganton, North Carolina. His story was truly one of a Hillbilly boy makes good.

In 1951 Jack enlisted in The United States Navy, ending up a Seabee, in the Naval Construction Battalion. His time in the Navy led to his career as a General Engineering Contractor. Through his career and hard work he took pride in the fact that he helped improve his community by building homes and roads. He was the original builder of Pismo Dunes Trailer Park.

Jack was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great grandfather. He was larger than life and always quick to bend an ear with a story or a joke. He was an avid fisherman, with many a trip to the lake. He took pride in his home grown tomatos and shared the bounty with everyone. Jack loved his family and friends and was happiest when hosting large gatherings where food was always aplenty.
