May 19, 2025 predeceased by his loving wife of 71 years Marian (Pizzoli). Survived by his children, David(Pam), Lisa Castro(Bob), Ellen Kirisits (John Effrige); grandchildren, Melanie Shea (Ryan), Sarah Ciufo, and Christopher Ciufo (Jessica), Michelle Grimes (Mike), Matthew (Meghan Carver) Castro, Zachary and Emily Kirisits; great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Lucas Grimes, Ophelia Ciufo-Luehm, Henry Shea; brother in-law, Eugene Pizzoli; several nieces & nephews. Joseph was a proud Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII. Joseph was the owner of Emerson Oil Co.

Friends and family may call THURSDAY, May 22nd, from 4-7 PM Miller Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc. (3325 Winton Rd. S.). A Funeral Mass will be held FRIDAY, May 23rd, 9:30 AM at St. Louis Church, 64 South Main St., Pittsford. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
