Final Salute

Paul O’Neil Gottman, 83, of Owensboro, KY, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2026 in Owensboro while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky at the Heartford House. He was born on May 14, 1943 in Spencer County, Indiana to the late Paul and Lowana Trinkle Gottman. Paul was a United States Navy veteran serving with the Navy Seabees from 1960 to 1966.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Gottman; and son, Larry Gottman.
Survivors include his two sons, Paul Keith Gottman and Jeremy O’Neil Gottman; two daughters, Jennifer Beth Renfrow and Kimberly Ann Gottman; four grandchildren, Dylan Gottman, Kinzie Harrelson, Stetson Howard and Jacob Renfrow; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Kay Dawn Erwin.

Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow the service at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
