Final Salute

Suffern – Peter P. Princi of Suffern, NY passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020. He was 94 years old. Peter was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Dominic and Viola (Parretta) Princi. He grew up in Greenwich Village, graduating from St. Veronica Elementary School and attending the High School of Commerce. At age 17, in 1944 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII as a SeaBee. After the war he worked in several occupations but eventually found his calling in the New York City Police Department where he served for 33 years achieving the rank of Lieutenant.

Peter is survived by his beloved children, Peter J. Princi and his wife Judy and Mary Princi; cherished grandchildren, Christina, Lauren, Peter and Michael and 10 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife Eleanor and his beloved daughter Patricia.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the WANAMAKER & CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am on Saturday, October 3rd at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.
