Mr. Ralph A. Effinger

Ralph A. Effinger, 90, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Ralph was born January 2, 1935 in Evansville to the late Helen (Kissel) and Albert T. Effinger.

Ralph graduated from Reitz Memorial High School. He served in the United States Navy as a Seabee providing construction and engineering support for naval operations. Ralph worked as a general contractor since 1959. He was an active member at St. Benedict Cathedral. Ralph was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who treasured the time he spent with his family.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Angela Effinger; sons, Paul Effinger, Andrew (Leeann) Effinger and John (Palak) Effinger; and grandchildren, Elsie Brown, Raymond Effinger, Grant Effinger and Juliann Effinger.

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Judith Ann (Austill) Effinger.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 29, 2025 at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Avenue, Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Father Alex Zenthoefer officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
