Thomas Lindstrom, 87, of Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Born March 12, 1938, he is predeceased by his wife Julia (nee Dickinson) of 49 years, son Michael and sister Donna (Templeton) Carruba.
He is survived by his children Karen (Nicholas) Carruol, Christine (Robert) Taylor, Sandra (Daniel) Anderson and Thomas (Patricia); 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his sisters, Kay Lukas, Karen Pantelone and Marilyn (Joseph) Schiliro and his companion, Karen Johnson.
Thomas joined the Navy Seabee’s out of high school and after his service came back to Philadelphia and joined Ironworkers Local 401. He was an ironworker foreman and then moved into the office and began estimating. In 1967, he ventured out to start his own company, Thomas Lindstrom & Co., Inc and grew that company into one of the area’s most respected steel erection firms for the last 58 years.
He was an avid golfer and was known to play no matter the weather conditions. He loved his garden and was especially proud of his tomatoes and peppers. He loved to travel, especially with family. Tom’s favorite seat was on his deck watching his grandchildren in the bay. His jokes, limericks and stories could go on for hours.
He leaves behind a loving family and a legacy of generosity and excellence.
Relatives and friends may call between 11am and 2pm on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Godfrey Funeral Home, 4008 English Creek Ave, Egg Harbor Township. Burial will be private.
