Mr. William F. Dobbling

William F. Dobbling (Willie), age 87, died peacefully Saturday at his home in Southgate, Kentucky.

Bill was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on March 29, 1937 to Arthur F. and Charlotte (Meyer) Dobbling

Bill attended Highlands High School, where he was a co-captain of the football team under Homer Rice, and met his cute high school sweetheart, and future wife of 59 yrs, Patty Dilling.

Bill then went on to attend the University of Kentucky where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He served in the United States Navy SeaBees.

Bill was the former owner of A.C. Dobbling and Son, Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell and the Alexandria Funeral Homes. Bill was a past President of the Ft. Thomas Lions Club. He was a longtime member of the Bellevue Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow with the Newport Rotary Club. Bill served on the Board of Directors of Kentucky Enterprise and the Campbell County YMCA. He was a member of the Fort Thomas Masonic Lodge # 808 and a lifetime member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. He was an invited member to the National Selected Morticians. He earned his degree from the Cincinnati College of Embalming, currently the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patty (Dilling) Dobbling, his parents, his brother Arthur “Bruz” Dobbling and his sister, Patricia Pulsfort..

Bill is survived by his son Patrick (Lorna) Dobbling, daughters Beth (Jeff) Hudepohl, Kim (Tom) Lampe and Julie (Mark) Warren, grandchildren Chad (Kristy) Hudepohl, Natalie (Gavin) Master, Tyler (Renee) Lampe, John (Reagan Wilke) Lampe, Will (Hannah) Lampe, Bradley Warren, Brandon (Kearsten) Warren and 6 great-grandchildren, Hampton Hudepohl, Fitz Hudepohl, Mara Hudepohl, Myles Master, Ariana Master, and Greta Lampe.

Funeral Ceremony will be held 10:00 am Thursday, November 14, 2024, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Fort Thomas, KY.

A Celebration of Life reception will follow at the Highland Country Club, Fort Thomas, Ky

Burial will take place at the convenience of the family in the Evergreen Cemetery in Southgate, Kentucky
