William Joseph Cannon, 90, Vero Beach

April 22, 1931 – April 2, 2022

William Joseph Cannon of Vero Beach passed away on April 2, 2022. He was born in Astoria Queens, NY.

William married Dolores on September 22, 1956 and enjoyed 57 years of marriage. After raising two children on Long Island, NY, they retired to Vero Beach and have enjoyed residency here since 1997.

He joined the Navy in 1951 and served as a Seabee during the Korean War.

William was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores.

He is survived by his two children, William Cannon and Maureen Cannon of New York.

William was a member of the Vero Beach Elks Lodge #1774 and a member of the American Legion.

Visitation will be held from 10-11am, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, with an Elks Service from 11am. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30am.
