Robert “Bob” Luther Bailey Obituary

Robert Luther Bailey, Sr. of Natchez, MS passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving wife of 49 years, Rita Hart Bailey; children, Holly Myers, Naomi Bailey Blackmon, Debbie Leblanc, Paige Martinez and Robert Bailey and brother, Frank Bailey.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman and he proudly served his country as US Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. He returned home in 1969, shortly thereafter he married Rita and together they began to build their family.

He is survived by his wife, Rita Hart Bailey, three daughters, Holly Myers (Greg Myers), Debbie Leblanc (Troy) and Naomi Bailey Blackmon (Sammy) and two sons, Robert Luther Bailey, Jr. (Missy Aswell) and Holly Bernie Bailey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren – Paige Martinez, Hart Martinez, Alicia Young Cupstid, Noah Young, Sloan Pintard, Zach Pintard, Olivia Myers, Devin Blackmon, Beth Blackmon, Trent Blackmon, Missy Blackmon, and Hunter Bailey; and three brothers – Bill Bailey, Tom Bailey and Frank Bailey. He also leaves behind 9 great grand-children and many nieces and nephews which he loved dearly.

He is preceded in death by his parents Ruth Parker Barnes Bailey and Shelton Hershal Bailey, Amanda Parker Baker and Holly Baker. Grandchildren – Hanna Steele and Dylan Aswell

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Courtney Wyles for her dedication, love and care provided to Bob during his last days.

Pallbearers are Robert Bailey, Zach Pintard, Trent Blackmon, Hunter Bailey, Frank Bailey and Robert Cichirllo.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
