Description

Bay Electric Co., Inc. is seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Project Manager / Estimator to oversee commercial and government construction projects from pre-construction through completion.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong estimating, scheduling, and leadership skills who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate project estimates by reviewing blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
Develop competitive bids and proposals for commercial and government projects
Manage all phases of project execution, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery
Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues to maintain timelines and budgets
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards
Track and report project financials, milestones, and performance metrics
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment

Requirements

5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management
Government contracting experience preferred
Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or ProEst
Experience with project management platforms such as Procore and Microsoft Project
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations
Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities
